Virgin Atlantic will reintroduce flights between London Heathrow and Dubai this winter with a seasonal, four-times-weekly service taking off on 28 October.
The service will be operated using Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring 31 Upper Class seats, 35 premium economy seats and 192 economy seats, and will continue through to March 2024.
Flights will depart Heathrow at 17.35 and arrive in Dubai at 04.40 the following day. Services in the opposite direction will depart Dubai at 13.00 and arrive in London at 17.05. Flights go on sale from 7 June with return fares starting from £505.
Virgin last operated flights to Dubai in March 2019.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Dubai – a destination we know our customers and people love,” said Rikke Christensen, vice president of network & alliances at Virgin Atlantic. “We’ve long wanted to return to this incredible city when the time was right, and this year presents the perfect opportunity.”
Meanwhile, the UK-based airline will bolster its leisure network with new flights from Heathrow to the Maldives and Turks and Caicos this winter.
In addition, it will introduce flights between Manchester and Las Vegas in summer 2024 using one of its newest aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000.
