ARIEL COHEN

Chief executive officer,
TripActions

Ilan and I created TripActions in 2015 after spotting a gap in the market and realising a vision to transform the management of business travel, using a technology-first corporate travel platform. Combining a consumer-grade UX, data science, user-friendly design, and world-class service, our mission was to bring businesses and their employees the very best experience in business travel.

That mission expanded in 2020 with the launch of TripActions Liquid™ in the U.S., and launching in Europe soon. This unique spend management suite seamlessly pairs with our travel solution to give finance teams unprecedented visibility into all T&E spend.

And over the past 12 months, our global reach has expanded, as corporations have realigned their travel programmes and sought out more traveller-focused solutions. This has propelled TripActions to a number of Europe-based enterprise client wins, including Springer Nature, Primark, Advanced and, more recently, HEINEKEN.

Additionally, we have focussed our investment in Europe, appointing high-profile industry leaders and expanding our EMEA product offering to include EU rail, air, hotel, and car inventory, along with language localisation, sustainability controls, and carbon-impact reporting. We complemented this effort with our recent acquisition of Reed & Mackay, which brings high-touch service to those clients requiring additional support.

Throughout the pandemic and now, as business travel starts to resume, we continue to engage with clients to ensure our product suite evolves in line with customer demands – particularly around duty of care and sustainability, which are both high on most business's agendas. Our recently launched Return to Travel feature suite offers businesses and their travellers real-time data and industry-leading tools, such as a live traveller map and a digital health passport. New sustainability-focused features include granular emissions reporting and carbon-budgeting functionalities – all designed with the corporate traveller in mind and all essential tools to help navigate a return to business travel.
