TakeTwo Travel Solutions is further expanding in Europe by launching travel management services in Ireland.
The start-up TMC, which launched last year and is headed by CEO Chris Thelen, already has a presence in the UK, Europe and the US. TakeTwo’s new operation in Ireland has been created after the company recently acquired Eton Travel Group, which already owned Cork-based CorporateTravel.ie.
Although TakeTwo and Eton Travel continue to operate as separate brands in the UK, CorporateTravel.ie has been rebranded as TakeTwo Ireland and will be headed up by general manager Paul Sexton, who was formerly a co-owner of CorporateTravel.ie.
Sexton said: “I am excited to be part of the company’s vision and expansion in Ireland. The launch of TakeTwo comes with great optimism and opportunities as the TMC already has a strong presence in North America.
“With a diverse international workforce and comprehensive global air connectivity, offering the only US pre-clearance facility in Europe, Ireland is an ideal hub for organisations seeking a European base.”
Sexton also highlighted the opportunities created by the large number of UK firms who have registered companies in Ireland since the UK left the European Union.
Thelen added: “I am very excited to officially launch TakeTwo in the Irish market. We are aiming to shake up the TMC landscape by introducing international companies based in Ireland to our alternative unbiased business travel management solution.”
