Sammit Khanndeparkar is speaking at Business Travel Show Europe on a panel session called Goodbye travel manager, hello business travel micro-services engineer? Business Travel Show Europe takes place on September 30 and October 1 at ExCeL London. Click here to register for the free two-day event.
What’s the biggest
challenges facing you as a buyer right now?
Managing the whole booking experience and process, clarity on when and why to
travel, air and hotel inventory, and pricing.
What do you expect your business travel volumes to look like post-pandemic?
By mid-2022 we expect 65 per cent of 2019 volumes.
What support would you
like to see from governments to get us all back on the road?
Better policy and clarity, and support for TMCs and airlines.
What adjustments have you made to your travel programme?
We've colour-coded destinations due to Covid-19 restrictions, we've moved to
TripActions to digitalise travel, and we're looking at digital and health passport
functionality.
Why are you looking forward
to attending Business Travel Show Europe and meeting face to face once more?
It’s a well-planned and
managed event with a great supplier base.
Tell us in 20 words or fewer why buyers should attend your session at
the show?
I can share my experience on how we managed travel the best way during
Covid-19, the digitalisation of travel, sustainability,
C02 offsets, how to build a carbon neutral travel programme, and contactless payments
for air and hotel.
