Icelandic transatlantic airline Play is adding its first route from Scotland with a new service between Glasgow and Reykjavik.
Play, which already operates from London Stansted and Liverpool John Lennon airports, offers transatlantic trips via its hub at Keflavik airport.
The airline currently serves four destinations in the US - New York Stewart, Boston, Baltimore/Washington and Washington Dulles - and will add a new route to Toronto in Canada from June 2023.
The new flights from Glasgow International will operate four times per week from 26 May with flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Although the frequency will drop to three per week from autumn 2023 when the Wednesday service will not operate.
Play will operate an Airbus A320neo aircraft with 180 seats on the route with a flight time of two hours and 25 minutes between Glasgow and Iceland.
