Penta Hotels has partnered with event technology platform Allseated to create eight ‘digital hotel twins’ that will allow events and meeting planners to conduct 3D virtual site inspections.
The Germany-based hotel group, which has more than 20 midscale properties across Europe, will see a digital replica created for its hotels in Prague, Paris, Bremen, Leipzig, Rostock, Brussels, Birmingham and Reading.
As well as virtual site inspections, the technology will allow planners to decorate and configure the space to visualise different meeting set-ups, and can also be used to host virtual and hybrid meetings.
Allseated CEO Yaron Lipsitz said the company’s virtual environments have been a “huge success”, adding that its hotel partners have reported a 30 per cent increase in meetings and events business.
