Minor Hotels has rebadged Amsterdam’s NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky under its Anantara brand as it continues to expand the latter’s presence in Europe.
Now known as the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, the landmark hotel – which dates from 1856 – is located on Dam Square and is now in the final stages of an extensive renovation.
The 402-room hotel features new-look guestrooms and suites, plus a new Anantara Spa and fitness facilities.
It is Minor’s first Anantara hotel in the Netherlands and is the latest in a series of relaunches as it takes the brand beyond its Asian origins into Europe and the Middle East.
NH Hotels in Marbella, Dublin, Budapest, Rome and the Algarve have already transitioned to the Anantara brand and are operating respectively as the Anantara Villa Padierna, Anantara The Marker, Anantara New York Palace, Anantara Palazzo Naiadi and the Anantara Vilamoura.
In France, the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel is due to commence operations in Q4 this year.
Meanwhile, the group has recently taken over its third Anantara property in Dubai, the Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel, amid the downtown and Business Bay areas and close to the DIFC financial district.
Anantara’s “exceptional experiences and luxury touch points” will be introduced over the coming months, followed by a series of “property enhancements” later in the year.

Minor Hotels has a portfolio of more than 500 hotels and resorts in 56 countries, across its brands which include Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH, nhow and Tivoli.
