ITA Airways will commence a new direct service between Rome Fiumicino and London City Airport from 1 April, 2024, the carrier announced.
Operated by Airbus A220-100 aircraft, the new service will run 12 times weekly during the summer 2024 season.
The Italian carrier said the UK is becoming “an increasingly strategic market” and the launch of the new route follows “significant demand” from both leisure and business travellers in the respective capitals.
The carrier’s summer schedule will also see increased flight frequencies on its route between Milan Linate and London City. The service will operate five times weekly (up from four) from 10 April, 2024.
