Innovation Faceoff

The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff is a competition featuring presentations of cutting-edge products, technologies and services developed by suppliers to address industry challenges and support managed business travel and/or business travelers. The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff is aimed at advancing business travel innovation and recognizing excellence.

Each presenter has six minutes followed by four minutes of questions from a panel of expert judges — a travel technology consultant, two corporate travel buyers and the previous year’s winner.

The judges assign scores using the following criteria:

Degree of technical innovation
Degree of business innovation
Differentiation from competitors
Ability to sell the concept
Ability to make broad industry impact
Advances travel management best practices

The judges offer commentary on each presentation and name a winner of the Business Travel Show Europe Business Travel Innovator Award, which comes with a trophy, industry bragging rights, an interview on businesstravelnewseurope.com and a place at the judging table for the following year.
