Travel management start-up COCO+ has appointed climate solutions specialist James Dent as sustainability director.
Dent, who assumed his new role on 1 July, has more than 10 years’ experience in corporate sustainability, most recently as head of ESG and sustainability at TravelPerk.
The UK-based TMC, which has a sustainability focus and was recently awarded B Corp certification, said the appointment “demonstrates our ambition to keep pushing the boundaries of our mission”.
COCO+ CEO Neil Funcham-Dukes said the company is working on “exciting plans for the future” including new technology solutions and data-rich tools to help clients meet emissions reduction targets.
“Bringing James onboard will allow us to accelerate the realisation of our mission to enable businesses to travel sustainably and seamlessly,” he added.
Dent founded sustainable travel consultancy Susterra in 2014, which was later acquired by TravelPerk, and has provided sustainability services to the likes of FCM, CTM and Travel Leaders.
